most new players always "save:one time use items until they forget about it and never use it. or it "never the right time". most player forget they have inspiration mid combat and that is a big buff for most and they still forget. some more experienced player use those, and sometimes you just have a player with agency who just use stuff. but most don't. so take that into consideration.

The decant of endless water makes 432,000 gallons of water a day. If you use the average water usage per day of people in Africa(closer to medieval than modern usa/uk) is 12 gallons allowing you to sell water to 36,000 people a day in a desert campaign. Yes you can break campaigns lol.

I’m preparing to start a long campaign with some people and I’m going to be playing a necromancer. I’ve watched a lot of videos on the class and this one was by far the best. Loved the flavor added to a lot of the spells and suggestions for spells to take that are on brand.

The glamoured leather armour is only useful if you handwave away the smell of the armour! Magic items that allow visual illusion should have a second tier that allows odour illusion as well.

Holy CRAPS! I had not realized the other features of _"Grasping Tentacles!"_ I thought it was just that you get Evards Tentacles, but PLUS HP and damage does not break concentration? That's my shizz now!

I really like your review. One small point that I see different: I think that this class is closer to a Astrologer to an Astronomer. It is more about wisdom than intelligence

The rules system has a reason for being the way it is, especially the D&D one, which has been perfected for several decades until D&D 3.5, which was its peak. In the example you give, Disguise Self is a 1st level spell... you can't "spice it up by saying it's telepathy based" because the whole concept of that spell is altering only yourself, affecting another creature is in other level of complexity/difficulty/power even if the creature is willing... it would be too much if you made a spell like that affect enemy creatures against their will with no saving throw/resistance and all that just with a 1st level spell. Even changing the element of a spell is deeper than just cosmetic because there are far more creatures able to resist fire than any other element... if a player asks you to let them make their Fireball ice/cold damage instead of fire what you're doing by allowing that is making a spell that's already too powerful to be a 3rd level spell even more powerful, which is unfair to the other classes who can't just say "I want my mundane sword attacks to now deal cold damage". And why do people always think first of bending the rules and lore/setting of whatever to do whatever they want instead of trying to respect that world and its laws? Why do people always want worlds to adapt to them instead of them trying to adapt to the worlds? If you think about it... it's a pretty teenager way of thinking.

What if someone wants to kill the Tentacle? There is no concentration nor does the tentacle have HP so how are you supposed to kill it in case Warlock is mind controlled and unleashes it against the players? As it stands aint it immortal for that 1min?

Or don't play shitty games that have overpowered Wizards and has 90% of the characters being spellcasters.

No need to make it complicated. Just don't have it down to one roll. For instance, do 3 successful rolls and you win and 3 successful rolls and you lose. Or if you MUST complicate it further, have each success reduce the DC for the final roll and each failure increase the DC for the final roll. Then you can take that and flavor it however you want without having to learn a whole new mechanic.

i mean, this build is kinda trash, wasting learning your free spell (animated dead) on the lv5 is such a bad choice especialy because you can learn sumon undead in the 5 lv, and then get animated for free. your only good job is in flavoring non necromancy spell into look like necromancy spell

Crypt of Istaris, Black Heart of Ulom, Wards of the Witching Ways, The Vault of Kasil, The Pit, Ironguard, Hrothgar's Resting Place, Elminster's back door, A Wizard's fate, Pandora's apprentice, Horror's Harvest, Gorgoldands Guantlet, The Black Egg, Challenge of Champions, Vlindarian's Vault, Path of Blades, Mud Sorcerer's Tomb Are some of my favorites. You could also review some of the adventures that Gary Gygax wrote for other systems.

The snake ataff is more than just "they're wasting their action and bonus action each turn".. they basically get a wall of infinite hitpoints, because on low level encounters, nothing will outright kill the snake, but it does constantly respawn with full hp. Nobody needs to take damage because the snake is basically a sponge with no limit on how many times you can resummon it. Horrible low level item to give.

Only awesome thing related to those items is gold, that those are worth.

Many true thing ... yet in a way the villains are the thing that turned me off Fabula Ultima. To be exact the resistances/immunities/weaknesses of whole groups - just like it was in 4e, poison and dark as damage types feel pointless when so undead and other monster groups are resistent/immune, while many monsters are weak against light and hardly any resistant against it. There's no real choice if there are obvious wrong choices from the start.

100-page-ish books?!? Is Pathfinder, those are just adventures but in D&D those are called core rulebooks!

I may actually use this to outright replace backgrounds, with some different flavorings.

I do love the way Cypher System handles player agency in the world. The only reason I don't use it now is because I don't like NPC vs. NPC interaction. Otherwise, it's an amazing system.

Cypher System is my favorite game system, so far!

I've only played a couple Numenera sessions, but I'd really like to play some Claim the Skies (the Superhero setting)... I'm just having no luck getting my friends to do it :D

Sound unnecessary complicated. Simply having static values to your own rolls give the player more control of the situation and ability to evaluate the threat. Edit. Completely lost me with the "the DM does not roll". Random responses from both players and dm are intrinsic to the spirit of rpg. That is not Tabletop.

Do any of you carry a ridiculous amount of dice and cycle through sets till you find the one that is working for you that night? I have 3 sets the seem to perform well most of the time and 2 extra sets in case one of the 3 is rolling garbage 😂😂😂
